Having spent generations fight for their basic human rights, cannabis industry veterans have come to embody the modern day patriot.

Outspoke believes that all people deserve the right to fair treatment and access to resources, whether economical, spiritual, medicinal or otherwise.

In order to share this land we have to not only recognize the basic needs of those around us but also ensure that they are met. This responsibility belongs to all of us and Outspoke is determined to be a force of the change we seek.

Our Story

Originally known as "Echo" and created to support a singular artisanal rosin maker, Outspoke came to life in 2017, when co-founder and CTO - Stefan Johnson, saw the proverbial writing on the wall and decided to take action.

2017 was a year of transition in California as companies like Stefan's prepared to enter the adult-use recreational cannabis markets.

With that transition came the entrance of corporations and large-scale distribution operations that promised a world of opportunity to growers and manufacturers like Stefan.

The problem with a majority of pot distributors – one that still plagues the supply chain in California – is that their expertise lies within taxes and logistics.

While both are important parts of distribution, the aspects of sales and b2b marketing were grossly under appreciated by many distributors in 2018. This lead to the creation of Outspoke.

The foundation of Outspoke's cannabis supply chain management platform is the concept that collaboration rather than isolation is the best way for any supply chain to thrive.

With that fundamental idea in place, Outspoke's technology has the potential to generate significant ROI on compliance spending by providing data analytics and actionable insights based on your METRC records.

The kind of analysis of and visibility into METRC has not yet been offered to the market and thus Outspoke presents businesses with an advantage for all users and a added competitive edge for early adopters.

Outspoke currently has a team of 16 people working today in support of the project.

RJ Falcioni

Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer

RJ Falcioni is Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder at Outcrowd Group. Prior to Outcrowd, RJ launched Box of Jane, a cannabis-related technology company dubbed the “BirchBox of Cannabis” by Business Insider.Com. RJ sold control of Box of Jane in 2017.Prior to these ventures, RJ spent nearly five years running The Guild of Osiris, an Oakland, California based cannabis delivery service, where he incubated several products to market and used distributive practices to improve the interaction between the end-user and the cannabis retailer. Prior to the cannabis industry, RJ spent over ten years in operations and management for his family’s construction and swimming pool business based in Darien, Connecticut.

RJ Falcioni received a J.D. from New York Law School along with a B.A. in Pre-Law from Quinnipiac University, and subsequently passed the New York Bar Examination in 2011. RJ is a member of the Massachusetts Cannabis Business Association and is actively raising funds for victims of the California Wildfires through his own California Wildfire Initiative.

Stefan Johnson

Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer

Stefan Johnson is Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder at Outcrowd Group. Stefan is a 'cannabis lifer' with a diverse skill set including business strategy, database analysis, code development and award-winning solventless production. Stefan spent 7 years with the Strategy Team at Charles Schwab. At Charles Schwab, Stefan worked closely with its world class business to business sales force as well as managing one of the industry's first Net Promoter Score programs.

Stefan is interested in social entrepreneurial solutions to industry problems with a focus on economic sustainability and genetic diversity. In his spare time, he likes to write/perform songs and build solutions to hypothetical problems. Stefan received his B.A. from Humboldt State University.

Matthew Gingerich

Senior Sales Advisor

Matthew is currently the VP Sales and Success at leading B2B Intent Data provider Bombora where he oversees the direct sales organization, including business development and solutions engineering teams. He brings over a decade of experience building and leading highly successful B2B GTM and sales teams. His professional passion is building predictable and scalable subscription revenue machines. Prior to Bombora, Matthew spent 9 years with leading sales and marketing advisory firm SiriusDecisions who was acquired by Forrester (FORR) in 2019. Matthew has extensive operational experience penetrating new markets, scaling revenue teams, harnessing partner ecosystems and launching new segments and verticals.

Matthew received a BSBA from American University with a minor in Spanish. Personal passions include family, travel (having traveled and lived abroad extensively), culinary arts, live music, fitness, mindfulness and the great outdoors. He is motivated by opportunities to solve complex challenges, especially when they drive positive impacts for society and social justice.

John Scola

General Counsel

Mr. Scola is the founding partner of the Law Office of John A. Scola, PLLC. Mr. Scola is an experienced litigator specializing in significant personal injury and employment law. Mr. Scola has represented clients in several high-profile matters. Most recently he was prominently featured in the film Crime + Punishment which features him, along with 18 clients that he previously represented or is currently representing in discrimination and civil rights matters. The award-winning film focuses on the plight of twelve minority police officers (NYPD 12) in their efforts to stop discriminatory policing practices in New York City by the filing a monumental lawsuit in Federal Court. The film premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2018 and is available now on Hulu.

Matt Dell

Acting Head of Marketing

Matt is a copywriter and content developer based between Berlin and Baltimore. His work spans across contributions to peer-reviewed academic journals, commercial retailer websites, and hospitality blogs such as the Ace Hotel Los Angeles.

Matt holds a bachelor's degree in communications from the California State University, where he researched how American colloquialisms are expressed on social media.
